captioned in Chinese 「大總統袁世凱」. Formal portrait of Yuan in full military dress uniform with feathered plumed helmet, orders and decorations visible. Printed “CARTE POSTALE / TAISHODO HANKOW” on reverse with Japanese “はがき” inscription. A striking portrait of the first President of the Republic of China, produced during his presidency. Very Fine and scarce.
