all coins bear the inscription Kwang Hsu Yuan Pao (光緒元寶) within a beaded circle on the obverse, with the reverse depicting a majestic dragon encircled by the English legend “Yunnan Province - 3 Mace and 6 Candareens.” Well struck with sharp details and attractive luster, lightly toned with traces of original silver sheen.
