A pair of Shanghai Municipal Police uniform buttons, c.1920s–1930s,

both metal construction with maker’s marks “J. Compton Sons & Webb Ltd, London.” One bearing the municipal crest with flags and dragon design, the other with plain text “SHANGHAI MUNICIPAL POLICE.” Scarce relics from the International Settlement policing era.
