Group of 16 photographs and postcards of China, ca. 1900–1915

A cohesive group of sixteen mounted photographs and postcards depicting Chinese and foreign scenes from the late Qing to early Republic era. Includes portraits of students and officials, foreign visitors at temples, naval and commercial personnel, and architectural views from major treaty ports. Period captions such as “Tientsin August 1901,” “Chamber in a Temple at Cheung Chow,” and “Flowery Pagoda Canton” indicate locations from Tianjin to Canton (Guangzhou). The images vividly record Sino-Western interaction and local life during the post-Boxer and early modernization period. Light toning and minor wear, overall well-preserved and historically significant.
